81.3. At the request of the chief judge, the Government may, if it believes justice will be served, authorize, for the time it determines, a retired judge of the sessions to exercise the judicial functions that the chief judge assigns to him. That judge then receives the salary of a judge of the sessions, from which an amount equal to that of his pension is deducted.
